(a) The speed limit for motor vehicles within the City shall be 15 miles per hour in residential areas and 35 miles per hour in all other areas, unless otherwise posted. A person who drives a motor vehicle in excess of said speeds is, upon conviction, guilty of a City offense and is punishable as set forth in CCO 9.05.020.

(b) Other traffic regulations shall be set by the City Council. The City Council shall also set appropriate bail schedules. [Code 1979 § 8.8.]
