Pursuant to the provisions of AS 29.35.260, 29.35.180(a) and 29.40.030, the Council has adopted the comprehensive plan and incorporated it into the City Code of Ordinances. The Council must approve, by ordinance, all changes, amendments, revisions, rewrites and other changes to the comprehensive plan. Prior to such approval, forums shall be held to obtain input from residents of the community and consultants. The Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Administrator shall present recommendations to the Council as part of the Council’s periodic review and updating of the comprehensive plan.
