(a) The retail sale of salable fireworks shall be permitted within the boundaries of the City only in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws, specifically including any State issued permits required for retail sales, and the provisions of this chapter. The retail sale of all other fireworks is prohibited.

(b) The sale of fireworks to any person under the age of 18 is prohibited.

(c) The sale of fireworks by anyone under the age of 18 is prohibited.

(d) The sale of fireworks to any person under the influence of any intoxicants, including alcohol, controlled substances, or medication causing impairment, is prohibited.

(e) Retail vendors shall be required to issue a safety instruction sheet, in the form approved by the City, with each fireworks sale.

(f) Retail vendors shall be required to store fireworks in a locked fire proof container or locked off-site Conex, or similarly secured container. [Ord. 18-01 § 2 (Att.), 2018. Code 1979 § 08.17.02.]
