The City’s name shall be “the City of Saint Paul, Alaska,” having been changed from “the City of the Aleut Community of St. Paul Island, Alaska,” pursuant to Alaska Statutes (AS) 29.73.050. The name was changed by ordinance introduced on July 21, 1976, and adopted on July 28, 1976, approved by the voters of the said City during the municipal election in August 1976, and approved by the order of the Lieutenant Governor on August 27, 1976.
