18.15.100 Exclusions.
(a) The provisions of this article do not apply to:
(1) Interior remodeling projects to existing improvements that do not change the footprint of the existing improvement and comply, before and after such remodeling, with applicable height restrictions; and
(2) Exterior renovations to existing improvements if the amount estimated to be spent during a calendar year on such renovations does not exceed $10,000 and the improvement before and after such renovations complies with applicable height and setback restrictions.
(b) Notwithstanding the exemptions set forth in subsection (a) of this section, a property owner or other person with an interest in the real property or improvements being constructed, renovated or remodeled must obtain utility locates on such property. [Code 1979 § 13.03.040.]
