(a) In conjunction with and subject to AS 41.35, the Alaska Historic Preservation Act, it shall be unlawful for any person to wantonly or maliciously destroy any historic site including a church, school, or park area.

(b) Also in conjunction with and subject to the Alaska Historic Preservation Act, it shall be unlawful for any person to dig and remove to any place from the City of Saint Paul any historic, prehistoric or archaeological remains including but not limited to fossil ivory.

(c) Off-road driving or any other wanton or malicious destruction of tundra or other natural land area is prohibited.

(d) A person who violates any provision of this section will be prosecuted under the Alaska Historic Preservation Act. Under AS 41.35.210, a person who violates a provision of the Alaska Historic Preservation Act is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is punishable by a fine of $1,000 or by imprisonment of not more than six months, or both.
